Product Description

Waterproof electrical connector (sometimes called heat shrink solder connector or solder seal wire connector) for making a permanent waterproof soldered joint between two lengths of electrical wire. 

To use these waterproof wire connectors, the ends of the wire are prepared as though making a soldered joint, and then the brought together inside the sleeve of the solder wire connector, before heat is applied to shrink the sleeving, adhesively seal to the wire insulation and solder the wires.  The result is a permanent sealed electrical connection.  Great for extending existing wiring in the boat, and particularly useful for cases where you need to extend a wire (eg a bilge pump wire) and you need to keep the joint watertight.

The heat shrink solder connectors are available in different sizes, the red ones are suitable for wires of between 0.5 and 1.5 square mm, and the blue ones are suitable for wires of between 1.5 and 2.5 square mm.  These heat shrink solder connectors work particularly well with our pre-tinned electrical wire.
